Hey there, we're Warren and Denise, proud locals from Manteo, and we've got quite the story to share. Our journey into the world of barbecue started right in our front yard, thanks to a generous client who gifted me a smoker. One day, Warren just started cooking for the friends and neighboors and the weekends became a flavorful fiesta for our guest, who couldn't resist the aroma wafting from our place. It became a Sunday tradition that lasted for years.
One day, we decided to take the plunge and open a food truck, a real family affair.Before we knew it, our flavors had taken Dare County by storm. People couldn't stop talking about the food.
We found ourselves in Columbia, with a dream of owning our own restaurant. When we stumbled upon the quaintest spot on Main Street, it felt like destiny calling. Now, every day, you'll find me, Warren, at the heart of Stick Burnin BBQ, smoking meats fresh on site. The community's response has been overwhelming - they've really embraced us.
